Representing in my African print
In case you haven’t noticed African prints or tribal prints are in. For some of us they never went out of style but they are really hot now. You will see them everywhere from street wear to evening gowns. I had purchased a few African print pieces but never had the chance or occasion to bust them out. Well the opening weekend of the Blank Panther was just the occasion to don these wide leg pants. They look more like a ballgown skirt but they’re actually very comfortable trousers. I paired them with a yellow ruffle sleeved top and a gold pair of leather loafers that I brought home as a souvenir on my trip to Morocco. I was representing Africa hunty!

I was in good company at the movies too. My family also wore African garb and several people at the movies did too. We fit right in with the characters in the movie. The costumes were absolutely gorgeous from the clothing to the headdresses to the jewelry. The movie with its black leading characters and mostly black cast gave black people everywhere a since of pride. Hopefully, you’ve seen the movie by now. If not, you definitely need to check it out. Also, if you don’t have any African print in your wardrobe you might want to pick some up.
